31/5/12 Left Rockhampton at 1pm and motored to Clairview where we camped for the night. Met Bill and Jen from Kent in England who were in an Apollo Motorhome and parked next door to us. Thy were on their way to see their son in Mackay and then hopefully onto Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands

1/6/12 Had a leisurely drive to Home Hill where we camped at the Comfort Stop which is a free camp adjacent to the Home Hill Railway Station. It is run by the local council and provides toilets and showers as well as a camp kitchen and all at no cost. Went for walk into the town centre and made a couple of small purcases

2/6/12 Drove to Townsville where we ran into a couple (David and Janet Scolyer) we met when touring Canada and Alaska in 2008. They are building a new home in North Shore a new suburb on the north side of Townsvlle which they took us to, to inspect. Drove onto Innisfail where Marion's sister Jean lives and spent some time with her prior to camping at a freedom site in Innisfail on the Millaa Millaa turnoff.

3/6/12 Another leisurely drive up the Palmerston Highway to Millaa Millaa where we visited te Millaa Falls and took some photos in the town centre. Then drove onto Atherton to spend a couple of days with Marion's sister Gladys and her husband Don. As we have both spent many years in this part of the country, not much sight seeing will be done.
